MOBILITY

Mobility training is designed to prepare you for a round of golf. Prepare you for a workout, and recover after a round of golf. Golf specific mobility drills can include bodyweight only drills, self massage techniques, and mindset training to optimize your game!

STRENGTH

Once the body has achieved the necessary mobility requirements for the goal, the body must demonstrate an ability to stabilize from within. Muscles, bones, and nerves must be integrated to allow the body to control and sequence appropriately to be golf strong!

ENDURANCE

Endurance is one of the most overlooked aspects of golf conditioning, however the pillar is always needed on the back nine. Your body’s endurance and mental endurance need to be conditioned to finish the round strong.

POWER

Power training is essential to maximize distance on the course. Drills are designed to create a similar sequence that is needed within the golf swing.

Welcome To The Timber Banks Junior Golf Academy

Millions of junior golfers around the world are always searching for the next best golf tool. Whether it is a new club, golf ball, or tracking system, golfers hope that it will take off a few strokes from their game. Interestingly, the tool that has the best potential to lower their handicap is their own body. The professional golf swing is beautiful to watch, yet complex. The golf swing demands a body that can coordinate the swing, and have the mobility, stability, and power to deliver time and again.

The Timber Banks Junior Golf Academy will provide you with an understanding of what your body needs to play optimally. The Academy Teaching Pros will assess, analyze, and implement performance and skills based program to create a better golfer’s body.

THE JUNIOR GOLF ACADEMY IS POWERED BY

MEET THE COACHES

Your DHF Movement Coach begins to assess, analyze, design, and coach you to optimize your movement plan by addressing:

Nick Serafino, PGA

My teaching philosophy is a simple, straight-forward, fundamental approach. The golf swing is most effective by using the big muscles of the body (chest, back and legs). I focus on improving what the golf ball does. What the golf ball does is my best source of diagnosing a golf swing.

I provide a fun and relaxed learning environment. My number one goal is to get my student to shoot lower scores!

Testimonials

The golf program that I went through was some of the best golf training I have experienced. The training that Jay Morgan and Nick Leader put me through completely elevated my golf game. This program created by Jay Morgan helped me continue to play competitive golf. From this program I picked up 30 yards on all of my clubs. I used to drive consistently around 250, but now I am consistently driving the ball 280-290yds! Definitely worth going through and will improve your golf performance!

How long is the golf program?

The Junior Academy is four days in length, the adjunct Golf Performance program is 12 weeks in duration. The program is designed to address all areas of your body’s needs. Mobility, strength, endurance, and power training are in each weekly session. The program can be utilized multiple times a year based on your goal season.

What is so different about this program?

A golf conditioning program should look, feel, and smell like golf. All movements are designed to function similarly to the golf swing. The coaches behind the design of the program are certified as Functional Golf Specialists with the Gray Institute and have demonstrated competence in golf biomechanics related to the body.

What is your policy for weather disruptions within the academy?

Every participant will receive the full four day academy, if weather disrupts the academy the rain day will be rescheduled promptly.

Can I utilize this golf program in-season?

Absolutely! Our golfers utilize this program to prepare for the season, maintain their mobility during season, or repair from the grueling season.

Do I need equipment?

The quick answer is no, you can choose the bodyweight exercises only within the program. However to enhance the effectiveness the program, we recommend utilizing the equipment within our Golf Kit which includes a massage gun, resistance bands, and a medicine ball.

What can I expect to feel and achieve?

This is a great question! First you should gain an awareness of what your body needs through our golf screening assessment. Next you should feel a body that has increased mobility and stabilization strength. Lastly, you should achieve a swing that increases your club head speed!
